Motivation and Inspiration

"So Scott, you want to work with wildlife," the career consultant repeated to me. "Yes" I replied. "Well, I am sorry, but that is not a viable career path," he told me. 3 years later that same consultant was in an audience listening to me present on endangered species as I had a mountain lion by my side - I had become one of Canada's foremost authorities on wildlife education and husbandry.

In this keynote address Scott tells of his frustration with bureaucratic business and his leap of faith to help create and define a new industry in spite of overwhelming odds. Having appeared many times on network television, radio and print Scott became known as Canada's "Jack Hannah" for his entrepreneurial efforts to help endangered species and enhance a new generation of understanding.

His amazing stories combined with his experience as Director of The Peter Thomson Centre for Venture Development at British Columbia Institute of Technology allow Scott to distill meaningful business and personal lessons into this keynote event that will have people leaving with a rejuvenated sense of what is possible.
